Styling tips

A Lovely Design shares its top tips for pulling off this event.

Tip 1

To try incorporate fun furniture pieces into your party. For example, I used a lovely tufted settee instead of a typical chair. I also love incorporating pillows and throws whenever I can as it adds lovely patterns and texture.

Tip 2

Instead of placing one large floral arrangement, we prefer to have a collection of multiple smaller floral arrangements in the middle (or across) the table. This way all your guests can see each other without trying to see over a big arrangement.

Tip 3

For each guest’s name card, we used a little votive to create an adorable individual flower arrangement and tucked the place card neatly among the flower petals.

Tip 4

Always be on the look out for serving platters and trays to add to your collection so you can mix and match to give your dessert table and food tables an eclectic look.

Tip 5

If you don’t have time to bake a cake for your event, you can simply buy a plain cake from your local bakery and add beautiful florals to give it a custom look.

Tip 6

For shower favors, we gifted each guest a hair comb, which we tied the favor tag to using an orange ribbon and placed at each place setting on the green napkin.
