Leather Napkin Ring

Materials
- Leather or suede strips
- Leather punch
- Rivets
Directions
- Purchase leather or suede strip from Michaels in the 1/2″ x 36″ yardage here
- Cut to size that you need
- Punch a hole in both ends of the strip with a leather hand punch
- Slip a rivet through the holes and fasten closed.
Stacking Letter Blocks

Materials
- Wood square craft blocks. Purchase 1″ blocks in a pack of 13 here
- White spray paint
- 2 colors of spray paint for the splatter. (We chose a navy blue color and a blue/grey color)
- Gloves
- Black Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brush
Directions
- Lay the blocks out on the ground and coat them with white spray paint until fully covered. Wait for them to dry and get the back side of the blocks.
- Take the darkest spray paint color and shake it well. Once shaken spray a decent amount of paint into the palm of your glove.
- Shake your hand out onto the blocks so it creates a splatter pattern.
- Repeat this process with the lighter color. Leave the same glove on so that the 2 colors together create a subtle 3rd color of splatter.
- Once splatter paint is dry, paint the letters onto each of the blocks
Splatter Wall Canvas

Materials
- 3 pack of 4″x12″ canvas
- 2 colors of spray paint. (We chose a navy blue color and a blue/grey color)
- Gloves
Directions
- Lay the 3 pieces of canvas next to each other on the ground
- Take the darkest spray paint color and shake it well. Once shaken spray a decent amount of paint into the palm of your glove.
- Shake your hand out onto the canvas so it creates a splatter pattern. Shake your palm several times around the canvas so that the paint splatters randomly.
- Repeat this process with the lighter color. Leave the same glove on so that the 2 colors together create a subtle 3rd color of splatter.

Styling tips
Niki of Seventh Bixel shares her top tips for pulling off this event.

Tip 1
The easiest way to relieve stress when hosting a shower is to not try and make everything from scratch. Buy macrame tassels or planters that are already made and spray paint them so they look like you spend time to yarn dye them.

Tip 2
Don’t spend a ton of time making food. Purchase food in bulk from Costco and use cute utensils and garnishes to make them appear catered.

Tip 3
Repurpose items used from previous showers or decor the parents plan to use in their nursery to lessen your overall cost on decor.

Tip 4
Finding a venue or a home/open space that has furniture on hand that you can use for tables, chairs, lounge area saves on rental costs.

Tip 5
Don’t break the bank renting china, fancy glassware and flatware. There are plenty of companies that sell real looking plastic ware. Makes for easy clean up and it’s a fraction of the cost.
