Table + Dine shares its top tips for pulling off this event.
Mix n’match is always a good idea when it comes to dinnerware. Here we layered Sophistiplate single-use pretty paper plating, which is also happens to be the answer to easy entertaining.
It’s all in the details! For each placesetting, we filled Simply Baked baking cups with color coordinated treats, wrapped flatware and napkins with red + white striped 5/8” grosgrain ribbon, and added hand-lettered placecards set on mini-cheeseboards to make guests feel special and welcome.
Set a dessert cart to coordinate with your table. I like to display desserts on tiered cake stands or at various heights to create a more interesting setting. We added jingle bells, mini-stockings, festive ribbon and gumballs to make it feel ready for a celebration.
Greet your guests with a ready-to-serve signature holiday cocktail, turn up the eggnog or have glasses of bubbly set out, to give you time to mix ‘n mingle.
